Ernesto U.Savona is Professor of Criminology at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan since 2002 (before at the Universities of Trento and Rome) and Director of Transcrime, Joint Research Centre on Transnational Crime. From 2003 he is editor in Chief of the European Journal on Criminal Policy and Research and from 2012of the series SpringerBriefs in International and Comparative Criminology, published by Springer.He was also nominated President of the European Society of Criminology for the years 2003/2004 and Chair (2010/2011) of the Global Agenda Council on Organized Crime of the World Economic Forum. Author of many books and articles on organised and economic crime he is speaker to many international conferences and consultant to International Organisations and National Governments.
